Preferences
Please note:  The average age of a rescue is between 2-7 years.  A toy breed average lifespan is
between 12-14 years.  So please keep your mind open to an older baby.  If you are looking for a
younger dog, under two years, your wait may be slightly longer.  Also if you are Elderly, please
consider adopting a dog 5 yrs or older.  Puppies are very active and playful- also consider their
lifespan!!  A large % of dogs are dumped at shelter when their elderly owner dies or go in to
assisted living homes.  Do you want this to happen to your precious dog?
What dog(s) are you interested in adopting?
Please give the specific name(s)
Have you applied with any other rescue group(s) to adopt?
If the answer is yes to the above question, please indicate the name of
the rescue group(s) and the STATUS of your application(s)

Thank you very much for your interest in a rescue furbaby.  Without, wonderful people like you willing to give these babies a Second Chance,
we wouldn't be able to rescue!  By adopting you are giving us the opportunity  to help other dogs waiting in Kill Shelters for Rescue
It is extremely rare that we adopt SMALL toy breeds to homes with children under 7 yrs of age, tiny toy breed are not suitable for a young
child's pet.  We also strongly prefer homes with fenced yards, applications with fenced yards will be give preference over homes with out
a fenced yard.
IF you have children in the home a fence is required 100% of the time.
DO YOU KNOW????

TOY BREEDS are NOT
suited to small children,
no matter how
well-meaning the child.
Children cannot help
being clumsy, and that a
child meant well is little
solace to a toy breed who
has been accidentally
stepped on, sat on, rolled
on, squeezed, or dropped
onto the patio.

Even adults may feel
overwhelmed by the loud
voices and quick
movements that children
can't help making -- and
stress and shyness,
even
defensive biting
,  may be
the result, more often
than not!

If you think our adoption fee is too high, please don't apply.
